Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported a misdemeanor arrest.
A White Stone man, 68, was charged January 28 with contempt of court, failure to appear.
January 24: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a pedestrian walking in the roadway, to a walk-in report of a trespasser that occurred in the 100 block of Youcomico Drive, and to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for the reported theft of U.S. Currency and a cellular phone.
January 25: Staff responded to the 100 block of River Bluff Road to check the welfare of a resident after being alerted by the Sheriff’s Office Keep Safe program, to the 100 block of Buzzards Neck Road for an assault, and to the 100 block of Golf Course Drive for suspicious activity.
January 26: Staff responded to the 10300 block of River Road to check the welfare of a resident after being alerted by the Sheriff’s Office Keep Safe program, to the Norris Bridge for a pedestrian walking in the roadway, to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for damage to a gas pump, to the 4100 block of Mary Ball Road for a sudden death, to the 100 block of Chestnut Grove Road for missing propane tanks, and to the 400 block of Twin Branch Road to assist EMS with an intoxicated patient.
January 27: Staff responded to the 200 block of Saltwater Drive to check the welfare of the resident after being alerted by their primary care physician.
January 28: Staff responded to the 100 block of School Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a fight in progress involving several individuals, Boys Camp Road for suspicious activity, to the 700 block of Crawfords Corner Road to check the welfare of a resident, to the 1600 block of Taylors Creek Road for larceny from a mailbox, to the 800 block of Levelgreen Road for a possible scam, to the 4900 block of Irvington Road for obtaining money by false pretense.
January 29: Staff responded to the 200 block of Oak Leaf Drive for suspicious activity, to Windmill Point and Majors Cove roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 1400 block of Merry Point Road to attempt to locate a missing person from Tennessee, to the 100 block of Belle Isle Road for child abuse or neglect, and to a walk-in report of a person with an altered mental status.
January 30: Staff responded to the 100 block of Lancaster Drive for a sudden death, to Mary Ball Road and Simmons Lane for a single-vehicle overturned traffic crash.
Staff also conducted 14 traffic stops, issued 15 summonses, assisted a motorist, handled six calls for traffic control, investigated three building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged three inmate transports, received 15 E911 hang-up calls, and fielded five calls for animal control service.
Kilmarnock and White Stone volunteer fire departments responded to a structure fire on Black Stump road and a traffic crash on Mary Ball Road.
White Stone VFD also responded to a traffic crash on Windmill Point Road.
Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a lift assistance request on River Road.
Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against four individuals.
Tyrone Noel Samuel, 50, of Heathsville was charged January 26 with a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for first degree murder. This was served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
A Kilmarnock man, 27, was charged January 24 with failing to appear in the Lancaster County General District Court on an original charge of driving while suspended and failing to obey a highway sign. This warrant was served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
A Heathsville man, 60, was charged January 25 with damaging property.
A Callao man, 19, was charged January 27 with two misdemeanor accounts of assault and battery and three counts of damaging property.S
