Sheriffs’ Reports 03-07-24

 

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against two individuals.

Felony
Jeremy R. Tyson II, 24, of Lancaster was charged February 26 with aggravated sexual battery.

Misdemeanor
A 70-year-old man, address unknown, was charged March 3 with trespassing.

Activity report

February 26: Staff responded to the 600 block of Johns Neck Road for a verbal dispute, and to the 5000 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver.

February 27: Staff responded to Sandlin Drive for a traffic complaint, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a larceny, and to the 200 block of Lowery Creek Road for a disorderly juvenile.

February 28: Staff responded to the 2000 block of Black Stump Road for a verbal disagreement, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a civil complaint, to the 1300 block of Irvington Road for debris in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, to Mary Ball and Pinckardsville roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 70 block of Crawfords Corner Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

February 29: Staff responded to the 200 block of Robbins Lane for a downed tree in the highway, and to Mary Ball and River roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash.

March 1: Staff responded to the 200 block of Old Fairground Way for a verbal dispute, to the 100 block of Hazzard Road for gunshots in the late afternoon hours, to the 100 block of Mulberry Creek Road for harassment, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for check theft and forgery, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a reckless driver, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a citizen requesting a trespass notice.

March 2: Staff responded to the 400 block of North Main Street for a suspicious vehicle, to the Norris Bridge for debris in the highway, to Scott Road and Clark Point Drive for a downed tree in the highway, to the 300 block of Callis Road for trespassing, to Griffin Landing Road for a downed tree in the highway, to the 500 block of Moran Creek Road for mail theft, to the 600 block of King Carter Drive for a downed tree in the highway, to the 200 block of Weems Road for a verbal dispute, and to the 100 block of Turner Lane for a larceny.

March 3: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Old Salem roads for trespassing, to the 70 block of Washington Street for suspicious activity, to the 300 block of Lovers Lane for debris in the highway, to River and White Hall roads for a traffic complaint, and to the 1000 block of Beach Road for a suspicious vehicle.

March 4: Staff responded to the 2000 block of Merry Point Road for suspicious activity, to the 400 block of Chesapeake Drive for destruction of property, to the 20000 block of Mary Ball Road for a verbal dispute, to the 100 block of Dillin Drive for breaking and entering, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a civil complaint.

Staff also conducted 26 traffic stops, issued 22 summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded a deer strike accident, handled a call for traffic control, investigated two building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged three inmate transports, received 11 E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control service.

Fire calls
Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department assisted Richmond County with a structure fire at 405 Indian Banks Road.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against four individuals.

Felonies
Jerri Lynn Langford, 48, of Manquin was charged February 23 with grand larceny for stealing jewelry from a local business.

Antquan Montel Levon Rich, 38, of Heathsville was charged March 2 with six felony counts of credit card larceny, one count of credit card fraud and two counts of petit larceny stemming from an incident at the Food Lion.

Misdemeanors
A Heathsville woman, 30, was charged February 28 with criminally trespassing on private property.

A Lancaster woman, 33, was charged March 3 with being drunk in public.
