Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported felony charges against two individuals.
William A. Rogers, 50, of Weems was charged April 27 with possession of ammunition after being convicted of a felony.
Ray William Smith, 56, of Weems was charged April 27 with driving under the influence of alcohol, third offense in 10 years.
Activity report
April 27: Staff responded to the 100 block of Harris Road for a male with a gunshot wound that occurred near the intersection of Beanes and Twin Branch roads, to the 500 block of Lara Road for threats to harm another, and to Irvington Road for the report of a reckless driver.
April 28: Staff responded to the 100 block of Pinewood Road for a structure fire that required traffic control, to Mary Ball and Goodluck roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 400 block of Lovers Lane for credit card fraud, and to the 100 block of Fox Hill Drive to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department with gunshots near an occupied dwelling.
April 29: Staff responded to the 700 block of Crawfords Corner Road for threats to commit suicide, and to Windjammer Lane for an illegally parked trailer.
April 30: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the roadway, to the 300 block of Campbell Road for a stolen .40 caliber Taurus handgun, to the 100 block of Queenstown Road for a domestic assault, to the 100 block of Harris Drive for a possible intoxicated driver, and to Carters Cove Drive for a four-wheeler being driven on the highway.
May 1: Staff responded to a walk-in report of threats made to harm another.
May 2: Staff responded to Carters Cove Drive for a four-wheeler operated on the highway, to the 100 block of Berkeley Forest Road for a trespasser, and to the 1200 block of Kelley Neck Road for the report of an unattended death.
May 3: Staff responded to Western Branch Road for a noise violation from loud music, to the 2400 block of River Road for shooting into an occupied dwelling, to Blueberry Point Road for gunshots in the early morning hours, to the 300 block of Windfall Lane for theft of a game camera, and to a report of a stolen semi-auto 9mm handgun from the Mollusk area.
Staff also conducted three traffic stops, issued two summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded a deer strike accident, handled a call for traffic control, investigated four building alarms, received 19 E911 hang-up calls, handled four calls for animal control service and issued a related summons.
Fire calls
The Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire/smoke alarm on School Street.
The White Stone VFD responded to a fire/smoke alarm on Grand Villa.
The Upper Lancaster VFD and Kilmarnock VFD responded to a structure fire on Pinewood Drive. The Upper Lancaster VFD also responded to a brush fire on White Hall Road.
EMS calls
For April 26-May 2, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 28 calls, including 16 medical emergencies, seven injuries, two traffic accidents, two fires and one other call.
Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 10 individuals.
Felonies
David Clark, 45, of Reedville was charged April 27 with felony possession of a Schedule I or II drug.
David Webster Brann, 41, of Callao was charged April 28 with felony driving under the influence (DUI), third offense in 10 years, driving without a license, second offense, and abuse/neglect of a child/reckless disregard of a child. He was also charged with misdemeanor refusing a breath test, second offense.
Robert Bowlin Packer, 55, of Reedville was charged April 29 with assault and battery of a family member, third-plus offense. He also was charged with misdemeanor obstructing communication through a telephone to prevent help.
Marcus Delonte Hundley, 33, of Tappahannock was charged April 30 on a capias issued by the Essex County Circuit Court for two violations of probation on felony offenses. He also was charged with a capias issued by the Hanover County General District Court for failing to appear in their court on driving charges, and a capias issued by the Spotsylvania Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear there for charges of cruelty/injuring a child.
Misdemeanors
A Heathsville man, 21, was issued a summons April 25 for possession of marijuana.
A Heathsville man, 31, was charged May 1 with petit larceny. He was released on a summons.
A Warsaw woman, 41, was charged May 1 with criminal trespassing after being forbidden to do so.
A Reedville man, 34, was charged May 1 with reckless handling of a firearm and a summons also was issued for being drunk in public.
A Wicomico Church woman, 59, was charged May 2 with disorderly conduct.
A Lottsburg man, 33, was charged May 3 with driving on a revoked license, DUI related.
