Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against six individuals.
Felonies
Loreli Hannah Higgins, 23, of Portsmouth was charged June 15 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance classified as a Schedule I/II.
Jason Porter Harsh, 48, of Weems was charged June 16 with strangulation, malicious bodily injury and assault and battery a family or household member (misdemeanor).
Vesta Juanita Johnson, 60, of Lancaster was charged June 22 with aggravated malicious wounding.
Misdemeanors
A White Stone woman, 54, was charged June 15 with failure to comply with pretrial supervision.
A Lancaster woman, 32, was charged June 16 with two counts of revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charges of trespassing and shoplifting.
A White Stone man, 57, was charged June 21 with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated, consuming an alcoholic beverage while driving a motor vehicle upon a highway, and refusal to submit breath/or blood for chemical testing.

June 15: Staff responded to the 3000 block of Lara Road for an adult welfare check, to the 1100 block of Hunton Lane for construction fraud, and to the 900 block of Ocran Road for a traffic hazard.
June 16: Staff responded to the 5000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to Mary Ball and Pinckardsville roads for a reckless driver, and to the 800 block of Weems Road for a domestic disturbance.
June 17: Staff responded to the 200 Block of Pinckardsville Road for legal advice, to Lumberlost and Taylors Creek roads for a disabled vehicle, to Mary Ball and Ocran roads for an adult welfare check, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for trespassing, to the 2000 block of Weems Road for trespassing, and to the 1100 block of Regina Road for suspicious activity.
June 18: Staff responded to the 500 block of White Chapel Road for threats, to the 9000 block of Mary Ball Road for a traffic hazard, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for threats, and to the 100 block of Merry Point Road for a suspicious person.
June 19: Staff responded to Rocky Neck Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a traffic hazard, to the 400 block of Ottoman Ferry Road for trespassing, and to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway.
June 20: Staff responded to River Road and Doggett Lane for debris in the highway.
June 21: Staff responded to the Norris Bridge for a pedestrian walking across the bridge, to the 17000 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious person, to the 1100 block of Johns Neck Road for a larceny, to Little Bay Road for gunshots in the late evening hours, to Ocran Road for gunshots in the late evening hours, to the 1300 block of Morattico Road for threats, and to the 100 block of First Street for a stabbing.
Staff also conducted 33 traffic stops, issued 18 summonses, assisted four motorists, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged three inmate transports, received 16 E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control.
Fire calls
Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash on School Street.
Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash on Mary Ball Road.
Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 13 individuals.
Felonies
Rudolph Pernell Kenner, 40, of Lancaster was charged June 11 on a direct indictment issued by the Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury for three felony counts of selling/distributing a controlled substance, namely a Schedule I/II drug. He was served by the Newport News Police Department.
Robert Preston McKenney, 69, of Hague was charged June 15 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court on a felony probation violation. He was served by the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office.
Donald Gene Morgan, 76, of Reedville was charged June 18 with felony driving under the influence of alcohol, third plus offense. He also was charged with driving revoked or suspended, refusal of the breath test and drinking/driving with an open container.
Kevin R Cunningham, 38, of Warsaw was charged June 18 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Spotsylvania County General District Court for failing to appear in their court. He was served by the NCSO.
Misdemeanors
A Heathsville woman, 32, was charged June 9 with assault and battery of a family member.
A Farnham man, 62, was charged June 9 with indecent exposure by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO). He was served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
A Heathsville woman, 24, was charged June 10 with assault and battery.
A Heathsville woman, 28, was charged June 11 with assault and battery.
A Kilmarnock woman, 45, was charged June 14 with assault and battery.
A Heathsville man, 32, was charged June 15 with one count of assault and battery and one count of assault and battery of a family member.
A Heathsville woman, 22, was charged June 17 on a capias/attachment of the body for failing to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court on an original charge of driving while suspended.
A Callao woman, 38, was charged June 17 with four counts of violating protective orders.
A Callao man, 60, was charged June 17 with two counts of violating protective orders.
