Sheriffs’ Reports 10-05-23

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against nine individuals.

Felonies

Hubert Jasper Rhodes Jr., 61, of White Stone was charged September 28 with sexual battery and indecent liberties with a child younger than 15.

William Morris Noel, 37, of Richmond was charged September 25 with four counts of forging a check to the prejudice of another’s rights, four counts of utter or attempt to employ as true a check, knowing such document to be forged, four counts of steal money valued at less that $1,000 and four counts of obtaining by false pretense or token money valued at less than $1,000.

Misdemeanors

An Irvington woman, 56, was charged September 25 with disorderly conduct in a public place and appearing intoxicated in public.

A Lancaster man, 43, was charged September 6 with failure to appear on a civil hearing.

A White Stone man, 35, was charged September 30 with driving while intoxicated with a BAC between .15-.20%, driving a motor vehicle on a highway without having obtained a driver’s license, and failure to drive on the right half of the highway.

A Lancaster woman, 49, was charged October 1 with assault and battery.

A Lancaster man, 57, was charged October 1 with assault and battery.

A Weems woman, 25, was charged October 1 with assault and battery, and theft.

A Lancaster woman, 33, was charged October 1 with disorderly conduct, and public intoxication.

Activity report

September 25: Staff responded to the 500 block of North Main Street for vandalism of vehicle tires, to the 100 block of Park Place for a verbal dispute, to the 500 block of Riverside Drive for suspicious activity, and to the 400 block of King Carter Drive for a disorderly person.

September 26: Staff responded to the 100 block of Norwood Street for a verbal disagreement involving alcohol, to the 1500 block of Irvington Road for check forgery and grand larceny, to the 100 block of Middle Road to check the welfare of a resident, to the 100 block of Bobwhite Lane for a wanted person, and to the 100 block of Otis Lane to assist the Fairfax Police Department with an unauthorized use of a vehicle investigation.

September 27: Staff responded to the 60 block of Blueberry Point Road for an accidental gunshot wound to the leg, and to the 18600 block of Mary Ball Road for debris in the roadway causing a traffic hazard.

September 28: Staff responded to the 200 block of Spindrift Road to check the welfare of a resident, to the 100 block of Harris Road to assist Kilmarnock Police Department with threats made to damage property, to the 300 block of North Main Street for a three-vehicle traffic crash, to Irvington Road and Jenkins Drive for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of Hazzard Lane for property damage from a vehicle, to the 200 block of Beach Creek Road for a possible burglary, and to Nuttsville and River roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

September 29: Staff responded to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for suspicious activity, to Mary Ball and Chases Road for debris in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, to the 100 block of Wharton Grove Lane to check the welfare of a resident, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, and to the 200 block of Newtown Road for domestic disturbance.

October 1: Staff responded to the 100 block of Reynolds Farm Road for suspicious activity, to the 100 block of Reynolds Farm Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 80 block of Genevieve Road for a noise complaint, to the 100 block of East Highview Drive for a domestic disturbance, to the 200 block of Methodist Church Road for a welfare check, and to the 30 block of North Main Street for a fight in progress.

Staff also conducted six traffic stops, issued five summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled a call for traffic control, investigated two building alarms, logged three inmate transports and received 11 E911 hang up calls.

Fire calls

The White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to electrical smells on Clark Point Drive and Whisk Drive.

The Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on Mastons Wharf Road.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 24 individuals.

Felonies

Jessica Ann Thompson, 33, of White Stone was charged September 5 with a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for violating conditions set for her probation on original charges of child neglect. She was served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Norissa Lee Keeve, 37, of Reedville was charged September 8 with malicious bodily wounding.

Misty Lynn Stokes, 37, of Heathsville was charged September 19 with a capias to show cause issued from the Northumberland County Circuit Court for a probation violation.

Johnathan Frederick Mitchell, 33, of Lancaster was charged September 22 on a capias to show cause for a probation violation issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court. He was served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Brian O’Neal Jones, 35, of Lottsburg was charged September 24 with damaging property over $1,000.

Terry Maurice Gordon, 42, of Warsaw was charged September 25 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court on a probation violation. He was served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Charles A. Marselas, 48, of Richmond was charged September 28 with a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for four counts of probation violations. He was served by the Richmond City Sheriff’s Office.

Kevin W. Thompson, 46, of Callao was charged September 29 with a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for three counts of probation violations. He was served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Benjamin Albert Schlosser, 57, of Heathsville was charged September 29 with abuse/neglect of a child, with reckless disregard of life.

Tammy Lynn Morgan, 58, of Heathsville was charged September 29 with abuse/neglect of a child, with reckless disregard of life.

Pamela Jeannine Dawson, 38, of Burgess was charged September 29 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for four counts of probation violations.

Misdemeanors

A Henrico County woman was charged September 8 with petit larceny. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office.

A Heathsville woman, 48, was charged September 8 with stalking.

A Callao woman, 19, was charged September 10 with buying/receiving stolen goods. This was a Suffolk County warrant, served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

A Heathsville woman, 35, was issued a summons September 12 for stopping in the middle of the highway in such a manner rendering a dangerous situation.

A Heathsville woman, 54, was charged September 13 with two counts of bad checks.

A Burgess woman, 18, was charged September 13 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to obey a court order. She was served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

A Heathsville woman, 58, was charged September 15 with obstruction of justice.

A Heathsville man, 57, was charged September 15 with driving revoked/suspended.

A Heathsville man, 57, was charged September 19 with driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense.

A Reedville man, 33, was charged September 20 with two counts of petit larceny, two counts of interfering with another’s property rights and one count of damaging property. These were Northumberland County warrants served by the Tappahannock Police Department.

A Lottsburg woman, 44, was charged September 21 with criminal trespassing.

A Kilmarnock man, 30, was charged September 21 with failing to appear in the Lancaster County General District Court on original charges of shoplifting. He was charged by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

A Heathsville man, 77, was charged September 21 with driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving.
