Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against three individuals.
A Lancaster woman, 27, was charged November 13 with assault and battery.
A Newport News man, 33, was charged November 15 with failure to comply with child support obligation.
A Weems man, 38, was charged November 16 with knowingly and intentionally possessing or transporting a firearm after having been convicted of a felony.

November 13: Staff responded to the 8000 Block of Mary Ball Road for a citizen requesting an emergency protective order, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a scam, to the 800 block of West Point Road for a missing adult (subject was safely located), and to the 200 block of Old Fair Grounds Way for a missing adult (subject was safely located).
November 14: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. memorial Bridge for a suspicious person.
November 15: Staff responded to the 200 block of Flats Lane for destruction of property; to Mary Bal and Regina roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a civil complaint, and to the 600 block of North Main Street for gunshots in the late evening hours.
November 16: Staff responded to the 800 Block of Taylors Creek Road for a verbal disagreement, to the 9000 block of Mary Ball Road for legal advice, Devils Bottom Road and Brookvale Lane for debris in the highway, and to the 100 block of Rappahannock Drive for stalking.
November 17: Staff responded to the 12000 Block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious person, to the 1900 block of White Chapel Road for a suspicious person, to the 300 block of Cedar Grove Road (Farnham) to assist Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in locating a disabled vehicle, and to Mary Ball and Regina roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash.
November 18: Staff responded to the 400 Block of East Church Street for a suspicious person, to assist Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office on a stabbing, to the 2000 block of Merry Point Road for threats, to the 1000 block of Shore Drive for fraud, to Taylors Creek Road for a reckless driver, to the 80 block of Irvington Road for a stolen vehicle that occurred in Middlesex County, to the 1000 block of Harris Road for a verbal disagreement, to the 90 block of Moran Creek Road for gunshots in the late evening hours, and to the 100 block of Campbell Road for gunshots in the late evening hours.
November 19 Staff responded to Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a disabled vehicle, to the 11000 block of River Road for a verbal disagreement, to the 1000 block of Morattico Road for suspicious activity, to the 70 block of Haven Drive for legal advice, and to the 60 block of Johns Neck Road for legal advice.
November 20: Staff responded to the 600 Block of Johns Neck Road for a verbal disagreement, and to the 200 block of Carlson Road for a suspicious person.
Staff also conducted 19 traffic stops, issued 14 summonses, assisted six motorists, recorded seven deer strike accidents, investigated four building alarms, logged two inmate transports, received six E911 hang up calls, and fielded eight calls for animal control service.
Fire calls
The White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at 80 Whisk Drive.
Upper Lancaster VFD and Kilmarnock VFD responded to a brush fire at 10155 Mary Ball Road.
Kilmarnock VFD also responded to a fire alarm at 201 Wiggins Avenue.
Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against eight individuals.
Felonies
Alexis April Carter, 30, of Heathsville was charged November 6 with felony promotion and or engaging in animal fighting. She also was charged with allowing the engagement/promotion of animal fighting on premises and aiding and engaging in animal fighting. Carter was also charged with 22 misdemeanor warrants for deprivation and animal cruelty.
Winfield Aray Bea, 55, of Heathsville on November 7 was served a direct indictment issued from the Northumberland County Circuit Court for indecent acts with a child, while being a custodian.
William Kevin Downing, 60, of Northumberland County on November 9 was served a direct indictment on four counts of distribution/selling for profit a Schedule I/II drug.
Johnshonika Jashon Le Gregory, 27, of Heathsville was charged November 14 on a capias to show cause issued from the Northumberland County Circuit Court for an original charge of driver not reporting an accident with injury.
Rishon Montel Winkler, 20, of Baltimore was charged November 18 with murder, second degree, attempted second degree murder and malicious wounding.
Misdemeanors
A Reedville woman, 24, was charged November 6 with assault and battery.
A Reedville man, 24, was charged November 10 with two counts of assault and battery of family members and one count of damaging property.
A Heathsville man, 41, was charged November 17 on a capias/attachment of the body issued from the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to appear.
