Sheriff’s Reports 12-02-21

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported a misdemeanor charge.

A Lancaster man, 49, was charged November 27 with appearing intoxicated in public.

Activity report

Nov. 22: Staff responded to the 300 block of Leetown Road to assist emergency medical services with a medical emergency, and to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a restricted vehicle crossing into the county.

Nov. 23: Staff responded to the 300 block of Greentown Road for a sudden death, to the 1300 block of Old Salem Road for possible abuse of an adult and juvenile, to the 2900 block of Lara Road for credit card theft and fraud, and to the 300 block of Peach Tree Lane for a domestic disturbance.

Nov. 24: Staff responded to the 500 block of North Main Street for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 3200 block of White Chapel Road for a person with an altered mental status from drug use, to James B. Jones Memorial Highway for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to East Church Street and Bay Ridge Avenue for a single-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 100 block of Chesapeake Drive for a trespasser.

Nov. 25: Staff responded to the 100 block of Henrys Creek Lane to assist Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) with a verbal disagreement, to the 100 block of Ice House Drive for a noise violation from loud music, to the 1200 block of Morattico Road for a possible unsupervised fire, to the 200 block of Bermuda Road for suspicious activity, and to Christ Church Road for a reckless driver.

Nov. 26: Staff responded to Regina and Mary Ball roads for debris in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, to the 500 block of North Main Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department with violation of a protective order, to the 100 block of Deep Water Drive for suspicious activity, to Windmill Point Road for a reckless driver, and to the 100 block of Harris Road for a disorderly person.

Nov. 27: Staff responded to the 5100 block of Mary Ball Road for an abandoned vehicle, to a walk-in report of vandalism and theft of signs, to the 100 block of Eagle Point Road for vandalism, to the 300 block of Callis Road for trespassers and vandalism, to Harris Road for a suspicious person, to the 200 block of Methodist Church Road for a verbal disagreement, to the 100 block of Riverwood Drive for a disorderly person and vandalism, to the 500 block of Little Oyster Lane for a sudden death, to the 100 block of Chesapeake Drive for a possible trespasser, to a walk-in report of threats made to harm another, and to the 100 block of Paynes Creek Road for a reckless driver.

Nov. 28: Staff responded to the 900 block of Clark Point Road to check the welfare of a resident, and to Rappahannock and Chesapeake drives to assist White Stone Police Department with a single-vehicle traffic crash.

Staff also conducted 17 traffic stops, issued 11 summonses, assisted eight motorists, recorded five deer strike accidents, investigated four building alarms, received 16 E911 hang-up calls, and handled a call for animal control.

Fire calls

Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a lift assistance call on Leetown Road.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to separate traffic crashes on James B. Jones Memorial Highway and East Church Street.

Kilmarnock VFD responded with White Stone VFD to a structure fire on Pembroke Lane.
