Sheriffs’ Reports 12-19-19

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against nine individuals.

Felonies

Adrian Derrell Gordon, 32, of Petersburg was charged December 8 with abduction by force, strangulation resulting in injury, grand larceny and assault and battery of a family member.

Myshaun Tihee Porter, 20, Lancaster was charged December 11 with disregard or elude after having received a visible and audible signal from law enforcement to stop, drive after license is suspended or revoked, and speeding 72 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Tiffany Rose Mullins, 30, of Lancaster was charged December 15 with embezzlement of over $500.

Jonathan Andrew Brown, 35, of Kilmarnock was charged December 15 with embezzlement of over $500.

Misdemeanors

A Water View man, 31, was charged December 9 with contempt of court, failure to appear.

An Irvington man, 32, was charged December 9 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Lancaster man, 54, was charged December 10 with violation of probation/parole.

A Lancaster man, 19, was charged December 13 with contempt of court, failure to appear.

A Weems man, 30, was charged December 13 with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.

Activity Report

December 9: Staff responded to the 100 block of Cherry Hill Road for a domestic disturbance involving alcohol, to the 800 block of Nuttsville Road for larceny of a cell phone, to the 100 block of Scott Road for vandalism and assault, and to the 1700 block of Morattico Road for a single-vehicle versus a tree traffic crash resulting in a fatality.

December 10: Staff responded to the 100 block of Steamboat Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of Whisk Drive for vandalism of a church, to White Stone for a reckless driver, and to the 100 block of Willow Hill Road for a missing juvenile who was found by law enforcement approximately an hour later.

December 11: Staff responded to the 12200 block of Mary Ball Road for the pursuit of a vehicle by law enforcement, to the 10700 block of Courthouse Road for an assault, to Kilmarnock for a possible intoxicated driver, and to the 100 block of Kathy Drive for trespassers.

December 12: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads for a reckless driver traveling at over 100 mph, to the 200 block of Rocky Neck Road for a domestic disturbance, and to the 400 block of Kinlock Avenue for a domestic disturbance involving alcohol.

December 13: Staff responded to the 500 block of North Main Street for a domestic assault, to Mary Ball and Goodluck roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, and to Christ Church Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

December 14: Staff responded to Church Hill Beach Road for a boater in distress.

December 15: Staff responded to the 2200 block of Irvington Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of Levelfields Lane for obtaining money under false pretenses, and to the 9900 block of Mary Ball Road for a man in distress.

Staff also conducted 28 traffic stops, issued 15 summonses, assisted eight motorists, recorded six deer strike accidents, handled four calls for traffic control, investigated six building alarms, logged two inmate transports, received seven E911 hang-up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

The Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash on Morattico Road, a structure fire on River Road and a fire/smoke alarm on Paynes Creek Road.

The White Stone VFD responded to a boater in distress call on Windmill Point Road.

EMS calls

For the week of December 8-14, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 38 calls, including 17 medical emergencies, five injuries, three traffic accidents, two fire calls and 11 other calls.

Northumberland County Sheriff James R. “Doc” Lyons this week reported charges against 8 individuals.

Felonies

Mark Christian Gardner II, 20, of Baltimore was charged December 4 with felony unauthorized use of a vehicle and receiving a stolen vehicle. Gardner was arrested by the Virginia State Police.

Rajauna Arnita-Rochelle Walton (no age given) was charged December 11 with two capias issued by the Richmond County Circuit Court for perjury and felony failing to appear. She also was charged with falsely identifying herself to law enforcement in Westmoreland County along with a capias/attachment of the body issued from the Westmoreland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear. Walton also was charged in Northumberland County with falsely identifying herself to law enforcement.

Dorris Lanette Noel-Brown (no age given) was charged December 12 with a capias issued by the Essex County Circuit Court for felony failing to appear in their court.

Misdemeanors

A Callao man, 59, was charged December 2 with failing to enroll in the VASAP program with the original charge of DUI, first offense.

A Lottsburg man, 21, was charged December 5 with two counts of indecent exposure.

A Weems woman, 44, was charged December 5 with failing to appear for trial.

A Heathsville man, 65, was charged December 7 with driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense.

A Baltimore man, 20, was charged December 9 with petit larceny, first offense, and damaging property.

Fire calls

For the week of December 9-16, the Callao VFD responded to seven calls, including three motor vehicle crashes, two alarms, a medical emergency and a mutual aid request to another county.

The Fairfields VFD responded to six calls, including two motor vehicle crashes, two alarms and two medical emergencies.

EMS calls

For the same week, the Northumberland County Emergency Services, Callao Volunteer Rescue Squad, Mid-County Volunteer Rescue Squad and Northumberland County Volunteer Rescue Squad responded to 21 calls, including 14 medical calls, three trauma/fall calls, three motor vehicle crashes and a mutual aid request to another county.
