Sheriffs’ Reports

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against four individuals.

Felonies

Donnell M. Tillage, 56, of Gloucester was charged April 4 with two felony counts of concealment of merchandise, two counts of felony obtaining money by false pretenses, failing to appear on a felony charge and grand larceny.

Thomas R. Tillage Jr., 58, of Merry Point Road was charged April 4 with felony concealment of merchandise.

Misdemeanors

A Heathsville man, 43, was charged April 5 with failure to comply with a support obligation.

A Morattico Road man, 38, was charged April 7 with attempting to defeat a drug test.

Activity report

April 2: Staff responded to the 9200 block of Mary Ball Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 200 block of Harpers Creek Drive to investigate the theft of a Glock 9 mm handgun, to a reckless driver on Merry Point Road, to the 300 block of Churchill Circle for an open door on a residence, to the 300 block of West Bay Drive for a possible suicidal person, to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for the theft of fuel, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a traffic light malfunctioning, to the 200 block of Christopher Drive to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with the violation of a protective order, and to a walk-in report of threats to harm or kill another person.

April 3: Staff responded to Beane’s Road to assist the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) with the pursuit of a vehicle, to the 600 block of Pinckardsville Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to Shore Drive for a suspicious vehicle which had been reported stolen in Westmoreland County, to the 100 block of Holly Haven Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 600 block of Boys Camp Road to investigate burglary and larceny of three shotguns, two handguns and a muzzleloader, and responded to the 4500 block of Mary Ball Road for a fight in progress.

April 4: Staff responded to the 200 block of Newtown Road for a domestic disturbance, and to the 500 block of North Main Street to assist KPD with a fight in progress.

April 5: Staff responded to the 500 block of North Main Street to assist KPD with a fight in progress that led to the arrest of two persons, to the 8900 block of Mary Ball Road to investigate the report of child abuse, to the 300 block of Avonne Street to assist KPD with a verbal dispute, to the 200 block of Beach Road to assist emergency management services with a reported serious medical issue, and to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive to investigate a reported embezzlement.

April 6: Staff responded to the 300 block of Chesapeake Trail for a suspicious vehicle, to Windmill Point Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 200 block of Old Fairgrounds Way for a violation of a protective order, and to the 1000 block of Irvington Road to investigate the theft of a .410 shotgun and U.S. currency.

April 7: Staff responded to Blackstump and Lumberlost roads for a trespasser on a 4-wheeler, to the 500 block of Gaskins Road for the report of a disorderly and intoxicated person, and to Irvington Road for a vehicle and foot pursuit.

April 8: Staff responded to the 2400 block of Field Trial Road to investigate an unattended death.

Staff also conducted 20 traffic stops, issued four summonses, assisted five motorists, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled a call for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, logged two inmate transports, received 14 E911 hang-up calls and fielded four calls for animal control.

Fire calls

The Kilmarnock and White Stone volunteer fire departments responded to structure fires on Lumberlost Road and Tabernacle Lane.

The Kilmarnock and Upper Lancaster volunteer fire departments responded to brush fires on Landing Drive and Courthouse Road.

EMS calls

For the week of April 1 through 7, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 50 calls for service including 30 medical emergencies, 11 injuries, a traffic accident, four fires and three other calls.

Northumberland County Sheriff James R. “Doc” Lyons this week reported charges against five individuals.

Felonies

Antonio Levar Churchill, 37, of Hague was charged April 3 with disregard of law enforcement command by failing to stop, reckless driving and driving suspended/revoked. He was also charged with two summons for failing to stop at a stop sign and failing to give a signal.

Erik Wesley Milau, 30, of Callao was charged April 4 with child abuse/neglect and possession of alcohol/being drunk in public after being interdicted.

Derrick Lamonte Blackwell, 40, of King George was charged April 8 with possession of a Schedule I or II drug and a summons for defective equipment. He also was charged on a capias/attachment of the body from the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations for failing to pay child support.

Misdemeanors

A Heathsville man, 29, was charged April 5 with failing to appear in the Essex County General District Court. He was also charged with attempting to flee from law enforcement.

A Heathsville man, 45, was charged April 5 with possession of alcohol by an interdicted person.
