RICHMOND—Sheryl Diane Gough, 75, of Richmond died August 6, 2022, after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Johnson Gough; and mother, Nadine Bessent Gough.
Sheryl is survived by her brother, Darreyl Wayne Gough in Louisiana; sister, Sharon Elaine Gough (Warren) in North Carolina; and niece, Meredith Lynn (Joey) in Callao.
After being raised in Ophelia, Sheryl enjoyed an exciting life, from working at Caeser’s Palace in Las Vegas, then back to the Northern Neck for 10 years before moving to Jacksonville, Fla. for another 10 years and finally to Richmond.
Sheryl had a special love for animals, especially horses. She was especially fond of Pomeranian dogs and leaves behind her beloved “Cody.”
