REEDVILLE—On October 19, Smith Point Sea Rescue (SPSR) launched the “new” Rescue 2 at Jennings Boatyard here where it was outfitted for duty. The 32-foot Carmen was built in 2003 and owned by a resident of Montross.
SPSR was able to purchase and equip the vessel thanks to contributions made over many years by residents, businesses and foundations, reported vice president Jim Bullard.
