Smith wins sixth cross country race

Hailey Smith continued to dominate the region runners, winning her sixth race of the season last week at Beaverdam Park.

Smith finished nearly three minutes ahead of runner-up Macey Chapman of West Point. Smith paced the pack of 20 runners from four different schools with a time of 20:33. Chapman was second in 23:27.

Although all of West Point’s runners finished in the top 10, the Pointers did not have five runners and failed to compete in team scoring. Mathews scored the team low 22 points and Lancaster was second….
