The Lancaster County Little League Junior Baseball All Stars went 1-2 last week and was eliminated by Mathews in the District 15 tournament at Dream Fields in Kilmarnock.

Lancaster won its opening game, 11-10, over Mathews on June 25 after a walk-off double by Luke Simpson in the bottom of the seventh lifted the host all stars by a run.

Pitchers Ashton Hollingsworth and Jayden Chapman combined for the win for Lancaster.

Simpson’s shot in Lancaster’s final at bat easily scored Chris Cunningham and Berkeley Kellum avoided the tag at home to score the winning run.
