Due to sold-out shows, “Steamboats on the Chesapeake” has been extended at Compass Cinema Six, Compass Entertainment Complex, 100 Entertainment Drive, Irvington. The documentary will be shown at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 18.
The hour-long documentary by 26th Street Media of Richmond tells the story of the steamboat era on the Chesapeake Bay, tracing the trade routes from long forgotten hamlets up and down the bay to larger ports like Baltimore, said Kilmarnock Museum president Carroll Lee Ashburn.
