Story time offers more than a book

For the children attending the YMCA’s Child Care Preschool program, Wednesday story time means riding “The Big Kid Bus” to the Lancaster Community Library (LCL).

At LCL, the children trek into the meeting room for an hour of storytelling and fun.

“Story time activities, whether at the Children’s Development Center or at the library, help increase the children’s attention span, reinforces their word and sound recognition and most importantly, instills in them a love for books and reading,” said YMCA director of child services Mary Posey.
