The Lancaster school board and board of supervisors on March 11 held a joint work session at the county administration building to review a proposed school budget of $16.9 million for fiscal year 2019-20.
Assistant superintendent Dan Russell identified major budget points including a requested 4% raise for teachers, 2% raise for all other school employees, level funding for employee health insurance, a reduced number of positions through attrition, a re-evaluation of transportation costs and a reduction of maintenance costs to priority only.
