The Foundation for Historic Christ Church recently announced the appointment of Robert J. Teagle as executive director.
Since March of 2000 Teagle served the foundation as education director and curator. Prior to that, he was historian at Shirley Plantation and graduate teaching assistant at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. He has a bachelor’s in history from the College of William and Mary and a master’s in American history from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.
Teagle is a lifelong resident of Gloucester. His wife, Rebecca, is a teacher. They have two children, Meg, 18, and Andrew, 16.
