The Rappahannock River Yacht Club recently concluded its 2017 Typhoon Spring Series.
In the final tally, Brent and Ron Mihills placed first aboard Anthem; Gary Hooper and Tom Richardson, second, Grand Cru; Sissy Crowther and Arabella Denvir, third, Ad Astra; and Greg and Lisa Shivers, fourth, CaVa.
Fourteen Typhoons participated in the series and eight different crews finished first in at least one race of the six Wednesday evening events.
Following the series, the RRYC Typhoon Fleet hosted a Friday night race during the club’s First Friday social event, which was attended by over 80 folks enjoying the racing action from the clubhouse, reported Gary L. Hooper.
