Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will present its homegrown quartet, The Chicken Soup Gang, Saturday, August 12, at the Harry M. Ward Auditorium, Mathews High School, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m.
Years ago, when these four gentlemen gathered in a friend’s kitchen to rehearse for an upcoming Opry show, singing “some old quartet songs,” they couldn’t have predicted the journey it would take them on, reported talent and production manager Lynda Smith.
None of them are strangers to the stage, but when they bring their amazing solo talents together, something wonderful is created, said Smith.
