‘The French Baker’ offers croissant class

The newly renovated kitchen at Mid-County Volunteer Rescue Squad (MCVRS) recently got a workout as Jim Warlick, “The French Baker,” demonstrated and prepared trays of fresh-baked buttery, flaky French croissants. 

Warlick, who is new to the Northern Neck, shared his culinary skills with MCVRS and its allied Cook Squad, on Wednesday, June 7, reported Nina Bhat.

Warlick trained as a chef at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris as well as serving as a former U.S. diplomat and ambassador during his lengthy career with the Senior Foreign Service. Today, baguettes are his specialty….
