The Rivah launches annual community Angel Tree Project

The Rivah’s annual “Angel Tree Project” is now underway. Angels have been collected from Visiting Angels, Kilmarnock United Methodists Church (KUMC) and Lancaster County Public Schools (LCPS) for the fourth year to help local seniors, disabled adults and children in need during the holidays. 

Last year, customers of The Rivah donated over 50 gift bags plus a total of over $1,000 in monetary donations which The Rivah matched dollar for dollar. Owner Emily Ficklin Hoar plans to do the same this year.

“It was such a heartwarming experience and we are excited to grow it even larger this year to help even more people in need,” said Hoar. 

The public is urged to pick up a name of an angel in need….
