Beginning June 23, the Steamboat Era Museum, 156 King Carter Drive, Irvington, will host ages 4-12 for a fun morning of steamboat style activities.
The programs will be held from 10:30 a.m.-noon, June 23, 30, July 7, 14, 21, 28, and August 4, 11 and 18.
The children will learn how important steamboats were to people living along the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers, reported museum manager Candee Pevahouse. They also will play with the toys and sing the songs as children did during that time….
