RAL Art Center watercolor artists Ellen Huddy and Barbara Kershner will exhibit through June at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.
Huddy and Kershner share a passion for watercolor as a medium for artistic expression, and a similar attraction to the Northern Neck as a retirement destination—sailing opportunities. Both joined the RAL Art Center to take advantage of the art classes that helped them hone their artistic skills, said Kershner.
Huddy grew up in Long Island, N.Y., and worked for a while doing illustrations and graphic layout in commercial art. After residing in Charlottesville for over 30 years, she and her husband, Dan, moved and retired to the Northern Neck to enjoy sailing and the quieter lifestyle that this area affords.
