HEATHSVILLE—It is with a heavy heart that the family of Thomas R. Bowles announces his passing on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
Tom was born on August 12, 1963, in New York. His family moved to the Northern Neck when he was eight years old. Tom owned and operated Tom’s Repair Service in Lottsburg for over 25 years.
He was an active member and deacon at Coan Baptist Church where he served the Lord faithfully.
Tom loved his family, his church, his community and his garden.
Tom is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rebecca O. Bowles; his children, Derek A. Sanders and April R. Diggs; his beloved grandchildren, Maddison M. Sanders, Ethan R. Diggs and Jared R. Diggs, all of Heathsville; and his brother and sister, Rita and Sean Bowles.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 18, at the Coan Baptist Church with Rev. James P. Godwin Sr. officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
The family received friends one hour prior to the service at Coan Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were BJ Walker, Bobby Nash, Keith Wilson, Louis Reynolds, Larry Jenkins and Eric Toia.
