OCRAN—Thomas Richard “Tommy” Jones III, 72, of Ocran passed away suddenly June 11, 2018. He was a member of White Stone Baptist Church.
He is survived by his siblings, Loretta Reynolds (Stuart), Frances Ellen Stewart (Ben), Barbara Ashburn (Jack), Beth Ober (Mike) and Julie Reed (Mike) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Harper Jones and Ruby Davis Jones.
Tommy graduated from Lancaster High School and Apprentice School at Newport News Shipbuilding. He was a machinist by trade but having a passion for the water, he worked as a waterman for nearly 50 years.
Family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. A graveside service was held at 2:30 p.m. at White Stone Baptist Church Cemetery.
