Three lucky kittens rescued from heat

These kittens are recovering from heat exposure.

KILMARNOCK—Three little kittens, estimated to be about 4 weeks old, recently were abandoned at the back of the Animal Welfare League Thrift Shop in Kilmarnock.

They were left there in a cardboard box, without water, and on a day when the outside temperature was expected to reach 90+ degrees, reported Animal Welfare League of the Northern Neck (AWL) president Sara Ford.

Since the AWL shop wasn’t officially open and no volunteers were scheduled to be in, these tiny kittens were very fortunate to be found that day, said Ford. No one knows how long they had been there before…
