Three positive COVID-19 cases in Three Rivers Health District

As of noon Wednesday, March 25, the Virginia Department of Health website shows three positive COVID-19 cases in the Three Rivers Health District, two in Gloucester County and one in Mathews. The Gloucester cases include a 10-year-old, as well as a student whose primary residence is Gloucester, but encountered the virus elsewhere.

In Mathews County, the superintendent of schools on Tuesday, March 24, posted a message on the school website indicating a transportation department employee had tested positive. The school administration was working with the health department to compile a list of individuals that may have had contact with the employee.
