Tickets available for KVFD grand prize; carnival tentatively set July 29-August 7

Tickets are on sale for the Kilmarnock Firemen’s Festival grand prize drawing. This year’s top prize is a 2021 Chevy Colorado 4X4 pickup truck, according to festival president Adam Wood.

Plans are also under way to hold the 86th festival at the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department Carnival Grounds, 200 Waverly Avenue, Kilmarnock, said KVFD vice president Ray Lewis.

The tentative dates for the carnival are July 29 through August 7, except Sunday, July 31. The committee will take an official vote June 7 on whether to hold the….
