TOGA annual meeting to feature program on oyster productivity

The Tidewater Oyster Gardeners Association (TOGA) will hold its 2024 annual meeting from 1-5 p.m. January 27 at Watermen’s Hall at the Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences (VIMS), 1370 Greate Road, Gloucester Point.

According to the Virginia Marine Resources Commission (VMRC), the 2022-23 Virginia oyster harvest was the most productive in over two decades, reported TOGA secretary Carl Zulick. VIMS professor Dr. Roger Mann will discuss Virginia’s oyster productivity over the last 25 years and address the current status….
