The Lancaster High School boys team finished as the runner-up and the girls team, third, in their first track and field meet of the season, a five-team meet in Warsaw.
Host Rappahannock won the girls meet with 92 points and Middlesex won the boys meet with 116. Lancaster placed second with 79 points in the boys meet; Fredericksburg Christian, third, with 57; Rappahannock, fourth, with 43; and King & Queen, fifth, 18.
In the girls meet, Middlesex was two points behind the Raiders with 90 for second place. Lancaster placed third with 64 points; Fredericksburg Christian, fourth, with 49; and King & Queen, fifth, with 22.
Boys highlights
Individually, brothers Reece and Tyler Rhodes placed first and second, respectively, in the discus event. R. Rhodes slung the discus for 168’10” to win and T. Rhodes, 138’5”, for second. R. Rhodes also won the shot with a 60’5.5” put….
