A dinner/auction sponsored by the Lancaster High School Athletic Boosters Club on Saturday, March 16, raised over $20,000.
The event was held by the club to benefit the school’s competitive activities, including robotics, scholastic bowl and cheer, said booster Chris Major.
“The community came out and supported our boosters and our student-athletes. It was a great night, with a relaxed atmosphere and I think everyone had fun,” said LHS athletic director Chuck Parrish. “This, for a first auction, really exceeded my expectations.”
The event featured a roast beef dinner catered by River Market. Student-athletes paraded items while auctioneer and assistant wrestling coach Brad Smith called for bids.
