The TriWay Trail recently received a second grant from the River Counties Community Foundation (RCCF) to support the completion of master planning activities that will map out the 9.5 mile multi-use trail connecting Kilmarnock, Irvington and White Stone.
“The grant award of $40,000 will allow the board to complete the final steps of the master plan and present to the county and the three towns,” said chairman Jimmie Carter. “We are so appreciative of the ongoing support from the RCCF to help put this trail into motion.
“This is the second grant received from the foundation with a combined total of $73,750.”
The trail will attract multi-generational users due to its unique design of being an “interior” trail system that is not on major roads, making it safer for….
