Hake fish breakfast
The Northumberland County Community Center, 679 Browns Store Road, Heathsville, will hold a hake fish breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Saturday, February 1. The eat-in or carry-out menu will include hake fish, potatoes, sausage, bacon, eggs, fried onions, biscuits, pancakes, orange juice, coffee, tea, or water.

Super Bowl chili
The Woman’s Club of White Stone, 560 Chesapeake Drive, White Stone, recently announced its third annual Super Bowl chili sale. Place orders by Monday, February 3, for pickup from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, February 8.
The fee is $15 per quart. To place an order, call 435-0441. Leave a message stating name, number of quarts and contact information for confirmation.
Chicken dinners
Chicken dinners will be available from 5-6:30 p.m. on first Mondays at American Legion Post #117, 39 School Street, Reedville.
Meals include fried chicken, mashed potatoes, choice of vegetables, salad, roll, dessert and drink. Dinners are $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 12 and younger, at the door.
Winter lecture
The Reedville Fishermen’s Museum 2025 Winter Lecture Series will continue at 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 3, at the Fairfields Volunteer Fire Department, 119 Main Street, Reedville. RFM lectures are free, donations are welcome.
The presentation will be “Oystering 101 by the Tidewater Oyster Growers Association.” Association representatives will offer the basics for “growing your own” oysters and “how to” get started with oyster cages. Pre-register at www.oystergardners.org/oyster-gardening-101.
TOGA
The Tidewater Oyster Gardeners Association (TOGA) will hold its annual membership meeting from 1-5 p.m. February 8 at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, Waterman’s Hall, 1370 Greate Road, Gloucester Point.

Comedy show
Bethpage Campground will sponsor Addy’s Colors Comedy Show Fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. February 8. The event will be held in the Rally Center at Bethpage Campground, 679 Browns Lane, Urbanna.
The fee is $50 per person, ages 21 and older, and includes a welcome drink. There also will be auctions, hors d’oeuvres and more drinks. Purchase tickets at event.gives/addys.
Yoga retreat in Italy
