The Northumberland Family YMCA, 6348 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, recently announced the installation of a DynaDome over its outdoor pool, a project that will allow year-round aquatic programming.
To celebrate, the YMCA will host a groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. February 1. No RSVP is required—just come out to support this momentous occasion and learn more about what’s to come, said executive director Allison Cockrell.
The DynaDome, a retractable enclosure, will enable the YMCA to serve more in the community by offering swim lessons, aquatic group exercise classes and recreational swimming regardless of the weather. As part of the project, the pool also will have a new slide.
