Music series

The Northern Neck Orchestra’s “Music with Michael Repper,” a free online video series will continue at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 13, with The Romantic Era: Music for the Sake of Emotion.

The series features music and comments by NNO music director Michael Repper on piano, with guest violinists Adelya Shagidullina and Wanchi.

Great Art Heist

The 14th Great Art Heist will be held June 26 at the RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock. Patrons can buy “early bird” Heist tickets through May 6, and automatically be entered into an Early Bird Raffle.

The winning ticket will be drawn at The Heist. Purchase tickets at the gallery, www.ralartcenter.com, or 436-9309.

Sippin’ Saturday

Triple V Farms, Vines, Vodka or Vinegar, 3138 Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, Tipers, will present Sippin’ Saturday from noon-6 p.m. April 10 with Jay Camacho from 1-4 p.m.

Virtual history

The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society’s “Zooming In On Local History: Virtual Speaker Series II” will continue at 3 p.m. April 22, “Courthouses and Court Day in Colonial Virginia,” by Dr. Carl Lounsbury.

Wine Down

Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock, hosts Friday Night Wine Downs from 5-8 p.m., with music by Bob Wilson from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Fresh sangria made weekly, featuring a Good Luck Cellars wine, are offered as supplies last from noon-5 p.m. on Sundays.

Painting tulips

RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, will hold an adult Paint Night from 6-8 p.m. April 22. Participants will complete an 11-inch by 14-inch acrylic painting of spring tulips.

Instructor and artist Juli Schuszler will lead the class. Bring a favorite beverage, snacks and mask. To register, call 436-9309. 

Meet the photographer

Northumberland Public Library (NPL) will presents “Meet the Photographer Day,” from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at NPL, 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville.

Photojournalist Michael Geissinger will discuss his exhibit, “China 1985.” Safe COVID-19 practices will be followed with a limit of 10 participants, masks and physical distancing. 

Patio music

Trent Jones will be featured from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 9, at Music on the Patio, General’s Ridge Vineyard, 1618 Weldons Road, Hague.

Bluegrass concert

The Seldom Scene will present “Live At The Cellar Door” September 25 at Mount Airy Farm, 361 Millpond Road, Warsaw. The outdoor concert, rescheduled from 2020, will open at 4 p.m. with an act to be determined followed by two sets of the Seldom Scene starting at 5 p.m. All previously purchased tickets will be honored at this new date. 

General admission tickets are $35 per person. A limited number of VIP tickets will be sold for $75 per person. Tickets are available at www.mountairy.farm, or 313-0815.
