Music by the River
The 2026 Music by the River summer concert series will continue Saturday, June 20 at Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Belle Isle Road, Lancaster. The concert will feature Michael Bergamo from 6-8 p.m in the picnic area.
The Tidewinders will be featured July 11; Jumbo Lump Daddy & The Backfin Boys, July 18; The Windbags, August 8; and Ramona & The Holy Smokes, August 15.
Benefit concert
The Band From Misfit Beach will give a benefit concert from 3-6 p.m. June 28 at Tiki Windmill, 56 Windjammer Lane, White Stone. Donations will be accepted for the Northern Neck—Middlesex Free Health Clinic.
Landscapes tour
Director of landscapes Matt Peterschmidt will present Explore the Past, Present and Future of Stratford’s Historic Gardens and Grounds from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, June 20, at Stratford Hall Historic Preserve, 483 Great House Road, Stratford.
The tour will look at the past, present and future of the landscape around the nearly 300-year-old Great House. Tickets are $46.90 at stratfordhall.org.
July 4 parade
The Irvington Hometown Parade will step off at 3 p.m. on Independence Day, Saturday, July 4. The parade will honor America’s rich history, patriotism and community spirit.
Community members, businesses, civic organizations, clubs and families are urged to participate. Parade registration is available at https://irvingtonva.gov/july4parade/. The submission deadline is June 26.
