FREDERICKSBURG—David Beale, P.E., has been named resident engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Northern Neck Residency.
Beale will lead highway maintenance and operations, land use, emergency response and snow removal for more than 3,219 lane miles of state-maintained roads in the counties of King George, Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond and Westmoreland.
He will oversee 89 employees and an annual maintenance and operations budget of $11.6 million and will serve as the primary local government liaison for all VDOT programs.
