LANCASTER—Vernon Franklin Cooke, 51, of Lancaster passed away on May 16, 2026, at home surrounded by family members.
Vernon was born on November 10, 1974, to Joseph Cook (d. 2009) and Evelyn L. Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Johnson; his son, Braylen Trahan; his brothers, William Cooke (Angie Banes) and James Allen Cooke; along with multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was a man with a big heart, whose love for family and friends was known by all. He looked forward to spending time with his son Braylen, his great niece Ella and his grandson River.
Services will be private.
