REEDVILLE—Virginia Louise “Ginny” Schuster (née Heinle), 81, of Reedville passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2026.
Born on March 8, 1945, in Oelwein, Iowa, Ginny was the daughter of the late Raymond and Patricia Heinle. She attended Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin, before embarking on a distinguished 39-year career as the director of medical records at Rappahannock General Hospital. Her dedication to community healthcare extended well beyond her career, spending many years as a devoted volunteer at Seconds Unlimited Thrift Shop in Kilmarnock to help raise funds for hospital renovations and patient care.
Ginny is survived by her loving children, Craig (Stephanie) and Sarah; her cherished grandchildren, Anna, Eric and Owen; and her brothers, Jim (Suzanne) Heinle and John (Jane) Heinle.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, August 7, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Kilmarnock. Interment will occur immediately following the funeral Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ginny’s memory to the Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital Foundation or St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Kilmarnock.
