
KILMARNOCK—Virginia Marsh Haywood, peacefully passed away and she gained her wings and was reunited with the love of her life, Franklin, on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at the age of 94.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Franklin Haywood; and her six brothers, Everett Marsh, Cleveland Marsh, Colin Marsh, Walter Marsh, Hugh Pierce Marsh and Lester Marsh.
She is survived by her two daughters, Marsha Waters-Fisher (David) and Maria Allgeier (Bob); two grandchildren, Nancy Waters Sumner (Brett) and Chelsey Anne Waters; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Cameron Sumner; sister-in-law, Rubinette McCarty (Frank); and three step-grandchildren, Avi Baecht (Brad), Lali Fisher and Danitte Marsden (Jake).
She worked as an underwriter at the Northern Neck Insurance Company in Irvington for 30 years. Virginia was a long time member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the Bethel/Emmanuel United Methodist Women’s Club.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow the service at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lively. Family will receive friends at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
