Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will celebrate its 50th season of country music shows with the first of two anniversary shows on Saturday, June 14. This show will highlight the past, present and future of the Opry, featuring the house band, Shades of Country, and all of the Opry singers plus many special guests, said president Lynda Smith.
The concert will be staged at the Harry M. Ward Auditorium, Mathews High School, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for all adults and $5 for ages 12 and younger. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Mathews Visitor Center, Marketplace Antiques, or the door beginning at 6:30 p.m. on show night.
