LANCASTER—The plan for having the Lancaster County voter registration office moved into a mobile office next to the Administration Building by mid-August has been delayed. According to county administrator Don Gill, the new trailer is not scheduled to arrive and be set up until the end of the day on August 15.
The voter registration office is currently operating out of the jury deliberation room within the office of the Circuit Court clerk. The mid-August deadline is due to an upcoming jury trial scheduled to take place.
Gill said voter registrar Susan Jett has been offered two offices within the Administration Building to use until the temporary office is ready. Jett was out of the office in training and unavailable for comment.
