WEEMS—At 6:11 p.m. Saturday, June 24, Virginia State Police (VSP) responded to a single-vehicle crash on Taylors Creek Road at Faith Circle in Weems.
A 2018 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Wanda Marie Rose, 66, of Weems ran off the road to the right while traveling north on Taylors Creek Road, reported Sgt. Jessica B. Shehan, VSP Division 1 public information officer. The vehicle then overturned, causing Rose to be ejected.
Rose succumbed to injuries on the scene, said Sgt. Shehan. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
