The Lancaster offense got off to a slow start but made up for it with a six-run fourth inning and went on to beat Chincoteague, 10-0, in a mercy-rule-shortened Region 1A softball quarterfinal game on Thursday, May 28.

The Lady Devils advanced to a semifinal game against Mathews on Tuesday, June 2. A win there means an automatic berth in the Class 1 state tournament next week and moves them on to the regional championship game today, June 4.

Lancaster finished as the region top seed and….
