Lancaster lost to Washington & Lee in an upset last Tuesday but bounced back Friday to beat Colonial Beach and put a lock on first place in Northern Neck District varsity boys basketball.
Lancaster is now 12-5 overall and 7-1 in the district.
The Eagles stumped Lancaster, 68-59, for Lancaster’s first loss in the district. The Red Devils beat W&L by 14 in their first meeting. But LHS struggled outside and at the foul line in last week’s meeting, hitting one three-pointer, well below the team’s normal average, and missing 11 free throws.
