RUTHER GLEN—Wesley E. Satterwhite Sr., 91, of Ruther Glen, entered into heaven Monday, November 17, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.
Wesley was the son of the late Butler and Lucy Satterwhite and Addie Satterwhite.
He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Elizabeth Reed Satterwhite; and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Satterwhite.
Wesley was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Ruther Glen, where he served as a trustee and cemetery chairman. He was the owner/operator of W. E. Satterwhite Hauling from which he retired in 1996.
Wesley is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Myrna Haynie Satterwhite; his children, Becky Haynie (Jake), Nina Southworth (Wayne) and Wesley Jr. (Fran); four grandchildren, Erica McCarty (Wesley), Austin Southworth, Trent Satterwhite (Megan) and Caitlynn Haskins (Tucker); four great-grandchildren, Avi-Leigh and Wade McCarty, Casen and Kinley Satterwhite and baby Haskins due in March; and brother-in-law, Pratt Haynie Jr. (Joanie).
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 4, at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Va.
