WHITE STONE—Wesley W. Walker Sr., 88, of White Stone passed away on December 3, 2016. He was a retired menhaden fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Walker; two daughters, Cathy Eagles and husband, Lloyd, and Carol Sue Lawson; two grandchildren, Michelle Walker Smith and Dena Hopkins; three great-grandchildren, Eric Taft, Caitlin Eagles and Travis Hopkins; and a sister, Marlene Dietrich.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by four sisters, Josephine Shelton, Mabel Pugh, Gertrude Jenkins and Bernice Shelton; a brother, Norman “Buddy” Walker; and his son, Wesley Walker Jr.
He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and uncle and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 9, at White Stone United Methodist Church. Interment will be private. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 8, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
