White Stone business district revitalization nears completion

WHITE STONE—The White Stone business district revitalization project is 99.9% complete, according to town manager Patrick Frere.

The project, which has spanned two years as part of a Department of Housing and Community Development block grant, has spruced up the commercial area of town with new storefronts, murals and visitor-friendly additions.

“We still have a few minor touches, few small things to fix, but otherwise it’s complete,” said Frere.

Franklin Mechanical Contractor Inc. put the finishing touches on a sidewalk addition last week to bring the project to a close.
