WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council on October 6 agreed to add security measures within the business district and spruce up the town office.
Council voted unanimously, 6-0, to spend $616.98 for the purchase of a remote security camera system to monitor the intersection at Rappahannock and Chesapeake drives and the comings and goings at the post office. The price includes equipment, installation and labor, according to town manager Patrick Frere.
James Smith made the motion to approve the purchase from Condition One Security of Heathsville and Irving Brittingham made the second. Smith, Brittingham, Ran Reeves, AnnGardner Eubank, Kathryn Roop and William Hubbard voted in support.
