White Stone council sets $226,545 budget for hearing, appoints Brocklebank to fill seat

WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council took a first look at its proposed $226,545 fiscal year 2023 budget last week.

The budget total represents an increase of $8,360 from the current year, primarily for a salary hike and expenses related to the town’s new public sewage project. 

According to finance chairman and councilman William Hubbard, the budget includes an extra $9,000 in central administration expenses, including a $500 additional expense for the sewage project and another $8,000 for payroll expenses. The town clerk’s hours will increase from part-time, four days per week, to full time….
